Progressive Steps Counselling
At progressive steps counselling we are integrative counsellors, this means we are trained in various therapies, this allows us to work with you and vary our approaches to suit you and to enhance your counselling sessions. Some of the theories we are trained in are Person Centred, Psychodynamic, Transactional Analysis, Gestalt and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Group Therapy & Workshops.
Some of the issues that we address are: Anxiety, anger, abuse, addictions, bereavement and loss, confidence, depression, health issues, marital issues, motivation issues, OCD, panic attacks, relationships, self-esteem issues, self-harm, sex related issues, trauma, workplace stress.
We are also able to offer complimentary therapies such as acupuncture, and mindfulness.

Sessions
There is an initial consultation session which will take 50 mins, this is to establish your issues and for ourselves to gain insight into the best approach that will compliment you, we will also gather what you would like to achieve from counselling. 121 sessions thereafter are 50 mins long, we can offer both long term and short-term counselling, this would be discussed on the initial consultation. You are in control of the frequency of sessions and when you choose to bring therapy to a close.
